Teaching Focus

J. Daryl Hinze is the Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at 九色视频, overseeing an interdisciplinary range of programs, including the Honors College, the School of Fine Arts, and the Morris Family Center for Law and Liberty.
Dean Hinze鈥檚 research centers on topics in corporate criminal liability, legal hermeneutics, and corporate moral agency, exploring the moral and ethical dimensions of law and business in both historical and contemporary contexts. He is dedicated to tethering a true liberal arts education to the professions.

Dean Hinze has held numerous committee and advisory roles, contributing to strategic planning, curriculum review, and student advising. He served on the board of Trinity Classical School of Houston, chaired the Governance Committee, and has been involved with various academic and community initiatives to support higher education and classical learning.

Additional Information

Outside academia, Hinze is Of Counsel at Webb Strahan, PLLC, a boutique business and tax law firm in Houston, Texas, handling issues and appeals. He has also provided pro bono representation as counsel to a number of non-profits, including business issues, religious liberty issues, student conduct/criminal issues, and discovery and subpoena responses in non-party litigation requests. Hinze maintains an active presence within the legal community as a member of the Texas State Bar and the Houston Bar Association’s Appellate sections.
Dean Hinze lives in Houston with his wife, Patti, who is the Academic Director for the Logic Campus at Trinity Classical School (TCS) of Houston where their children attend. Together, they are committed to classical education and serve their community in various capacities. They also enjoy the companionship of their yellow lab, Kipling.
